Program Overview

Public governance is a defining element of public service delivery systems in the twenty-first century. The performance of the government is always under scrutiny from the public. Governments are under pressure to become more effective and efficient. Consequently, the public sector has paid attention to lessons from private sector management through entrepreneurial leadership within public service organizations. Multiple actors contribute to the delivery of public services and the policymaking system. Therefore, public governance is shaped by socio-political governance, network governance, project governance, administrative governance, and public policy governance. Participants will examine the coordination of institutions and agencies in a policy area for developing collective objectives and strengthening cybersecurity. In addition, participants will examine how to improve public policymaking and public service delivery by adopting more participatory and collaborative forms of governing.
