CHED-AIM Global Academic Leadership Program

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), offers the Global Academic Leadership Program (GALP) for academic leaders in Local Universities and Colleges (LUC) and executives in Local Government Units (LGU) to build transformative leadership skills through immersive learning platforms. The program will enable them to transform LUCs into powerful institutions that will expand the youth’s access to local and global opportunities through high-quality education.

Challenges resulting from globalization, evolving economic conditions, disruptive technologies, increased public scrutiny, and more have pushed leaders to rethink the education system. LUCs provide an avenue to do this. This course is a practical, hands-on, skills-based, and tools-based approach to developing and implementing deep change efficiently and effectively. It provides frameworks and insights into ways leaders can propel “success cycles” and avoid the pathologies of decline.
